Ujjwal Thapa was treated and Rs 1.5 million was provided to the Innovation Center from the remaining amount

A sum of Rs 1.5 million has been provided to the National Innovation Center from the money raised for the treatment of Ujjwal Thapa, former chairman of Vibekshil Saja Party.

Thapa, who is also an IT entrepreneur, donated Rs 1.5 million to the National Innovation Center on Saturday.

According to the family, Rs 6,783,485 has been collected from around 2,800 people around the world for his treatment.

Out of that, Rs 2,420,349 was spent on treatment and Rs 110,934 was spent on transferring money to banks, the family said.

The remaining Rs 4.252 million has been distributed to seven organizations including the Innovation Center. Thapa died at Nepal Medicity Hospital on May 3 while undergoing treatment.
