We want to be able to give the talented students of Nepal a platform for international exposure and learning

Seeds for the Future is our longest running global flagship CSR programme. Since 2008, more than 12,000 students from around the world have participated in it.

I am very proud that this year we sent 7 talented students from Nepal to our first regional onsite program in Bangkok, Thailand. I congratulate them and their brilliant ideas for the Take for Good competition.

At Huawei, we understand that digital talent is the foundation of digital growth. We are actively promoting the development of digital talent in all 170 countries and regions. I think we can all agree that there is a huge potential for digital transformation in Nepal.

At the heart of this transformation will be talented young people. Through programs like Seeds for the Future, we hope to contribute to the development of such digital talents. I hope that the ideas developed by the students for this year’s Take for Good competition become a reality.

As a leading provider of ICT infrastructure and smart devices, Huawei is committed to introducing new technologies in Nepal. Our goal has always been to create value in society. We have done that through our products and solutions.

We are currently working with government agencies, mobile network operators, internet service providers and private enterprises – with the goal of bringing digital access to every individual, home and institution in Nepal. We hope to build the foundation of Nepali digital economy by partnering with all ICT stakeholders through broadband connectivity, data centers, cloud and computing and other new technologies.

Through programs like Seeds for the Future, we want to be able to give the talented students of Nepal international exposure and a platform for learning. The 7 students selected this year will be able to see first-hand the role technology is playing in building the future. I hope that when they return, they will teach their friends what they have learned.
