More than 80 digital startups and innovations, including startups from all seven provinces, are participating in the fest, which is being held under the main project of Living with ICT.

Pramila Devi Bajracharya, Secretary of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, was the chief guest at the opening session of the fest.

Similarly, former Minister of Science and Technology Ganesh Shah was present as a special guest, while Virendra Mishra, former joint secretary of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Shusheel Bhattarai, co-founder of Squid of Change Makers, ICT expert Hempal Shrestha and others interested in startups and innovations were present as guests. was there

Speaking at the inaugural event, Rajan Lamsal, president of Living with ICT, said that the startup and idea fest was organized to promote and encourage startups and innovations across the country.

Similarly, Chief Guest Science and Technology Secretary Pramila Devi Bajracharya said that the fest is an important platform to promote startups and ideas of the youth.

‘Startup and Idea Fest is a good platform for the youth who want to do something in the country when there is a bread drain,’ Secretary Bajracharya said, ‘Therefore, I request everyone to watch the fest and increase the enthusiasm of the youth who have the desire to do something in the country.’

The fest, which will be held on Friday and Saturday, can be viewed for free from 11 am to 5 pm. The program has been enthusiastically attended by students from schools and colleges since the morning and young people who are interested in startups and innovations.

ICT Award 2023 as a pre-event champion of Startup and Idea Fest and STEAM Camp is the cooperation of The Squid of Changemaker.

The main attraction of the program is an exhibition of new ideas, innovations and products, idea pitching, astronomy camp, rocket and robotics camp, investment opportunities, games and attractive prizes.

Apart from this, Satellite Workshop, Astronimo Workshop, Avision Workshop and Rocket Science Workshop are also being conducted in collaboration with Nast and Squid of Change Makers.

At the fest, more than 30 startups from all seven provinces, as well as the best 12 startups, products and innovations selected from the competition in the ICT Award 2023, are also exhibiting their ideas and products at the fest.

In the program, Squid of Changemaker has also exhibited new projects made by children including robots, rockets, 3D printing.

Viewers can also vote for the best 12 startups and products and rising star innovation of the ICT Awards 2023.

In the eighth edition of ICITY Award, which is known as Nepal’s prestigious technology award, this time more than 500 nominations were received in 13 different categories. Currently, the nomination and selection process of ICT Award 2023 is underway.

This time, in the grand finale of the ICT Awards, provisional recognition awards will also be given to the best startups from all the seven provinces.

The Grand Finale of the ICT Awards will be held on the 6th of January at The Solti Kathmandu. Dozens of pre-events for the awards will be conducted along with Startup and Idea Fest and Steam Camp.

Kantipur Television will also broadcast television series as a special program for startup and idea pitching for 2 months.
