Lakshmi Intercontinental Pvt Ltd, the official distributor of Hyundai, has launched the new Kona GL electric vehicle. The entry variant of Kona EV is priced at GL 59 lakh 96 thousand and the price of GL S variant is Rs 64 lakh 96 thousand.
Keeping in view the growing demand for electric vehicles, the company has introduced the GL version of its most successful electric model Kona. Kona Electric is a very successful crossover EV in Nepal.
The new electric Kona facelift has seen many changes. Driving range has also increased in the new Kona. New security features and advanced connectivity are the main modifications.
Hyundai Kona comes with modern safety features such as Smart Sense safety suite, regenerative braking, paddle shifter, drive by wire system and climate pre-setting.
The Hyundai Kona has a 39.2 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery with a multi-stage high-voltage safety system, due to which it has high energy density and will increase the range. Vitry’s layout and packaging system has lowered the center of gravity and made Kona’s handling excellent. Which will provide a comfortable journey for the driver and passengers.
Hyundai Kona comes with a new design grille, daytime running lights, and large size taillights. The Kona Electric can be driven up to 305 km on a single charge. A 100 KW DC fast charger will charge the battery to 80 percent in 54 minutes.
The company claims that the 8-inch touchscreen visual navigation system in the Hyundai Kona will enhance the driving experience. Kona Electric will be available in the Nepali market in color options like Atlas White, Cyber Grey, Galactic Grey, Pulse Red, Surfy Blue, and Dark Knight, the company said.
