WorldLink’s internet service reaches 500,000 households

Internet service provider WorldLink Communications’ Internet service has reached 500,000 households. Worldlink, the world’s fastest-growing Internet service provider, has reached 500,000 subscribers this week.

Chairman of WorldLink, Dilip Agrawal, said that the organization has crossed a milestone due to the trust and support of its customers.

“Today is a moment of pride for WorldLink,” he said. “Our family has grown into a family of 500,000,” he said.

He thanked all the hard working employees who are dedicated to serving the customers, saying that they are part of this achievement.

He further said, “We have a big responsibility on our shoulders to make the company satisfied. We all have to work hard. The focus should be on improving customer service and its quality, ‘he said.

One out of every three Internet users in Nepal uses WorldLink’s Internet.

WorldLink alone uses 45% of the total bandwidth of the Internet introduced in Nepal. WorldLink’s Internet has reached 73 districts in Nepal, even in the most remote areas of Karnali.

WorldLink is the third largest telecommunications company in Nepal. Meanwhile, WorldLink has become the largest taxpayer in the ICT sector.

The company was also honored as the 10th largest VAT contributor in the fiscal year 2076/07. WorldLink is also the largest employer in the ICT sector. About 4,000 people are employed in it.

WorldLink has expanded public WiFi to 10,000 locations across the country. The company has been providing free internet in public places across the country as per its social responsibility program.

More than 151,000 people are using free public WiFi daily. The company is providing free Wi-Fi in places where people gather at temples, hospitals, bus parks, cafes and restaurants.

The CDC Group, a UK government organization, has also invested in WorldLink Communications. WorldLink has been providing internet connectivity to its customers, IPTV and data connectivity services to its corporate customers.

WorldLink was started by its founder and chairman Dilip Agrawal in 1995. At that time, it was started with a simple email service in dialup connectivity.

The organization has come a long way through technologies such as Visat, Wireless Technology, Cable Internet and FTTH. The directors of the company Dilip Agrawal, Manoj Agrawal and the late Vijay Jalan made significant contribution in the expansion of WorldLink.
