Xiaomi Nepal’s official Facebook page teased the launch of a “Light and Slim” phone with the hashtag #ShowYourStyle. And, we can confirm that the mentioned “Light and Slim” phone is the Mi 11 Lite 4G and not the 5G variant.

Mi 11 Lite is set to be revealed in India on June 9 at 12:00 PM. Likewise, we can expect the Mi Lite 4G to launch in Nepal within this week.

Design

Mi 11 Lite has the same design language as its other Mi 11 series smartphones. However, it is a light and slim phone of the series that measures 6.81mm thick and weighs 157g.

It uses a glass back just like the Mi 11X Pro and the fingerprint sensor is integrated into the power button. But the hole punch on the display has been moved to the left.

The phone comes in three colors: Boba Black, Peach Pink, Bubblegum Blue.

Display

On the front, Mi 11 Lite is flaunting a 6.55 inches AMOLED FHD DotDisplay. It is a 90Hz panel with a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Xiaomi mentions that it supports 10-bit color depth and has brightness up to 800 nits under HBM (High Brightness Mode). The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and has support for DCI-P3 wide color gamut and HDR10+.

Hardware

Underneath, Mi 11 Lite is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chipset. used on the Redmi Note 10 Pro and POCO X3.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G has an Octa-core (2×2.3 GHz Kryo 470 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 470 Silver) CPU and Adreno 618 GPU. For memory, it comes in three configurations: 6/64GB, 6/128GB, 8/128GB. It uses UFS 2.2 storage and LPDDR4X RAM.

Mi 11 Lite is also using LiquidCool technology for efficient heat dissipation and comes with features like dual speakers, multi-functional NFC, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.1.

Camera

In terms of camera, Mi 11 Lite is equipped with a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5MP telemacro camera. Here, Xiaomi is using Samsung GW3 64MP as the main sensor and Sony IMX355 as the ultrawide sensor.

Also, Mi 11 Lite can only capture up to 4k 30fps and it can capture 60fps videos at 1080p.

Battery & OS

Within the slim frame, Mi 11 Lite has a 4250mAh battery along with 33W Fast Charging.

Moving on, it runs on MIUI 12 on top of Android 11.

According to the sources, Mi 11 Lite is set to launch this week. Mi 11 Lite starts at EUR 299 (approx Rs. 42,557) for the 6/64GB variant. However, Indian and Nepali pricing is relatively cheaper than European pricing. So, we expect Mi 11 Lite price in Nepal to be around Rs. 36,000.

Mi 11 Lite is a mid-range phone from Xiaomi that provides similar hardware to the Redmi Note 10 Pro. While it’s not a bad phone, Xiaomi’s in-house competition is too strong. It makes more sense to get the Redmi Note 10 Pro or even the POCO X3 Pro.
