Background of Pashupati Prasad
“Pashupati Prasad(2072)” is presented by Tukee Arts & Dipendra K. Khanal Production. The movie is about Nepali social drama full of comedies and a very heart parting emotional ending. It features artists Khagendra Lamichhane, Barsha Shiwakoti, Bipin Karki, Prakash Ghimire, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Mishree Thapa, Ashish Adhikari. Khagendra Lamichhane wrote Pashupati Prasad, and Nijaj Kadel did its Cinematography. Similarly, its Music was composed by Hari Lamsal with the story and direction of Dependra K. Khanal. The editor of the movie is Dirgha Khadka with the action of Surya Thokar. Rajana Napit produced it whereas Arjun Karki (Swami) and Ashish Adhikari are its co-producers with the executive production of Rojina Sitaula.
Plot
A countryside boy travels to a city (Kathmandu) to fulfill his father’s dream. He promises not to return his home until he earns that much money sufficient to pay his debt (his father died before paying fifty thousand rupees from where he borrowed). So he begins hunting for gold in Pashupati, but he is not alone in this game. The other gang tries to kill him as they find him as stopping their earning source. And the ups and downs go on with the tragedic ending. At last, the lead actor looks up te sky and asks his dead father to open the gates of heaven for him as he can’t fulfill his dream. And the story ends.

It is one of the best Nepali flavour movie and very contemporary. Best direction and best act by Khagendra. It must deserve award.
It’s a great movie indeed. I usually don’t watch Nepalese movies but after watching this I’m back to home languages movies. I am seeing very good movies these days. Well, Kollywood movies are getting better day by day and much better than Bollywood.
