Researchers can now inject genes directly into the blood by injecting CRISPR-CAS9. It allows to treat many diseases.
This procedure also cured a rare gene disease called transcytine amyloidosis.
When volunteers inject a warm particle containing CRISPR, it prevents it from entering the patient’s liver and producing harmful proteins.
The test was performed on six volunteers. It is also expected to cure ailments and heart disease in the future.
