We can all play a role in respecting women and increasing their rights. On this Women’s Day, let us all reflect on women’s rights in society and strive to show them respect.
नारी दिवसको अवसरमा सम्पुर्ण नारीहरुमा हार्दिक शुभकामना ! महिलाको सम्मान र अधिकार अभिवृद्धि गर्न हामी सबैले भूमिका खेल्न सक्छौँ । यस महिला दिवसको अवसरमा हामी सबैले समाजमा महिला अधिकारलाई चिन्तन गरौं र उनीहरूलाई सम्मान देखाउने प्रयास गरौं।
Every year, on March 8th, we celebrate International Women’s Day as a reminder to honour the achievements of women and to work towards gender equality. This year, the IWD theme is #EmbraceEquity, which focuses on the importance of creating an inclusive world by recognizing and addressing the differences that exist among us.
Equity is not just about treating everyone the same. It’s about recognizing that different people have different needs and challenges and taking action to address those differences so that everyone has equal opportunities to succeed. It’s about creating a world where all individuals feel valued and included, regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or any other characteristic.
To #EmbraceEquity, we need to start by acknowledging the differences that exist among us. This means taking a hard look at our own biases and assumptions and recognizing how they might be limiting others. We need to listen to the experiences of those who are different from us and work together to find solutions that address their unique needs and challenges.
सबै नारीहरुलाई नारी दिवसको हार्दिक मंगलमय शुभकामना!हामी सबैले नारीको सम्मान गर्ने र उनीहरुको अधिकार बढाउने काममा आफ्नो भूमिका निभाउन सक्छौं।यो नारी दिवस, हामी सबैले समाजमा नारीको अधिकारको विषयमा विचार गर्न र उनीहरुको सम्मान गर्न रहन सकौं।
Here are some ways that you can #EmbraceEquity this International Women’s Day:
- Educate yourself: Take the time to learn about the experiences of women from different backgrounds, and educate yourself on the issues that affect them. This will help you to better understand their perspectives and challenges and to become a better ally in the fight for gender equality.
- Speak out: Don’t be afraid to speak out against sexism and discrimination when you see it. Whether it’s in the workplace, in your personal life, or society at large, speaking out against injustice is a critical part of creating a more equitable world.
- Support women-owned businesses: One way to support gender equity is to support women-owned businesses. By doing so, you are helping to create economic opportunities for women and promoting a more level playing field in the business world.
- Advocate for policy change: We need to work towards policy changes that promote gender equity, such as paid parental leave, affordable childcare, and equal pay for equal work. Advocate for these changes in your workplace, your community, and your government.
- Embrace diversity: Embrace the diversity of the world around you, and celebrate the unique strengths and perspectives that each individual brings. By embracing diversity, we can create a world where everyone feels valued and included.
