The government has also included internet service as an essential service. According to the information published by the government in the Nepal Gazette on June 3, internet service has also been included in the essential services.

The government has decided not to strike in 25 essential services including telephone service, bank, insurance, electricity, hospital, hotel, airport, internet, drinking water, daily necessities, veterinary and weather forecast by publishing the information in the Gazette.

Exercising the right given by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Essential Services Operation Act, 2014, the government has banned strikes in 25 essential services.
