Internet Service Providers Association of Nepal (ISPAN) has objected to the cutting of wires (fiber) of internet service providers by the employees of Nepal Electricity Authority, Bharatpur Distribution Center, Bagmati Pradesh.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Spain said it had blocked the Internet by controlling telecommunications equipment by deliberately cutting the wires (fibers) of Internet service providers and damaging telecommunications equipment.

According to ISPAN, this kind of reprehensible act has taken place while discussions are being held with the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Nepal Telecommunication Authority and Nepal Electricity Authority about the pole fare.

We have also called on the Ministry of Home Affairs, District Administration Office, Bharatpur, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Nepal Telecommunication Authority, Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation and other concerned agencies to remove the wires of Internet service providers using threatening language. The statement said.

It is mentioned in the release that we, the internet service providers, were very surprised that the Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTAA) had informed the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) about the provisions of Section 21 and Section 42 of the Telecommunications Act on July 8.

According to ISPAN, tens of thousands of ordinary consumers in Bharatpur have been deprived of access to internet, online education and banking.
