Send a taxi with a plastic curtain between the passenger and the driver

The taxi has a plastic shield between the captain (driver) and the passenger.

Asimman Singh Basnyat, regional director of Pathao Nepal, informed that the plastic curtain has been made mandatory considering the health safety of the consumers.

The captain said that it would be safer to wear a mask and sanitation in taxis.

Basnyat says, ‘It is easier to send a taxi when it is raining. As there is service from gate to gate, taxi is the best option to reach the destination during rainy season.

He adds, “The popularity of send taxis is huge as you don’t have to go to the chowk to look for a taxi and you don’t even have to bargain as the fare is visible in the send app.”

Send bike ride sharing service started in Nepal from September 2018. Send Nepal has started car light (taxi) service from August 2019. In September 2020, Pathao started home delivery service of hotel and restaurant meals and food items.

Recently, Pathao Nepal has also started ‘Pathao Bazaar’ by delivering groceries. Home delivery within 45 minutes of ordering, which has been started since June 12, is being tested.
