Since Buddha Jayanti is also the national holiday of Nepal, it is a great time to learn more about Sakyamuni Gautama Buddha, Buddhism, and his teachings. In most of Asia, Buddhists celebrate Buddha’s birthday or Vesak on April eighth in the Nepalese calendar every year.
