The private sector has taken a leap in telecom and ISP: Mangesh Lal Shrestha
Mangesh Lal Shrestha, chairman of the ICT Development Committee of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), said that the leap in telecom and ISP (Internet Service Provider) was made by the private sector.
Speaking in a digital dialogue organized on Saturday, Chairman Shrestha said that the private sector has taken a leap in Nepal’s telecom and ISP.
“If the private sector had not joined Telecom and ISP, they would not have gone to Nepal so exponentially,” said Shrestha.
He said that ICT has just been recognized as an industry in Nepal and it is still difficult to call ICT an industry.
