50% exemption on income tax for those who earn foreign currency by exporting information technology services


The government is going to give a 50 percent discount on tax on the income received in foreign currency to those who earn foreign currency by exporting information technology services.

Presenting the budget for the financial year 2080/81 at the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament, Finance Minister Dr. Prakasharan Mahat said this.

He said that arrangements have been made to give a 50 percent discount on the tax on the income received in foreign currency to those who earn foreign currency by exporting services such as business process outsourcing, software programming, and cloud computing in information technology.
