Digital Literacy Program conducted in Jiri by PhonePe in collaboration with Prime Commercial Bank

Coming up with various latest ways to increase public awareness about digital banking and secure financial transactions, PhonePay recently conducted a ‘Digital Literacy Program’ on Jiri in association with Prime Commercial Bank.

Phonepay has been conducting various programs related to digital payments in different areas and communities. This literacy program has been organized in Jiri covering various aspects such as transferring money in a safe and easy way, avoiding digital fraud, and adopting other security measures.

In the inauguration ceremony of the literacy program organized by PhonePe and in collaboration with Prime Commercial Bank, Jiri Nagar Chief Mitra Bahadur Jirel, Deputy Chief Krishnamaya Budhathoki, Dolakha District Chief District Officer Komal Prasad Dhamala, Nepal Rashtra Bank Director Krishnaram Dhoju, Udyog Banijya Sangh Jiri Baburaja Shrestha, Jiri Police Inspector Bishnu Bahadur Wasnet, Tara Dal Gana chief Sher Bahadur Wasnet, Prime Commercial Bank General Manager Amrit Charan Shrestha, PhonePay Chief Business Officer Sumit Das, Prime Commercial Bank Assistant General Manager Suresh Man Singh and PhonePay Business Development Manager Rushant Shrestha were present.

Sumit Das, Chief Business Officer of Phonepay, said that through Phonepay, which is encouraging digital transactions, money can be sent by keeping a mobile number and money can be sent immediately through inter-bank transactions.

Amrit Charan Shrestha, General Manager of Prime Commercial Bank informed that one can transfer money and pay to various service and goods providers by using features like QR payment, PhonePay Direct in Prime Commercial Bank’s mobile banking app.

People from different areas and communities participated in the program, and there was significant participation at the local and regional levels. In the program, interactions and events that happened in the society were also mentioned.
