He edited the online conversation between the two people from a fake profile with the name and picture of the victim, sent obscene pictures and videos of the couple, the victim’s sister and other relatives, defamed her in the society and humiliated her character.
During the lockdown, he sent a friend request (friend request) to the minor through the social network that opened online classes. The victim also admitted that he was an acquaintance.
During the conversation, the victim accepted the love proposal sent through the messaging app and while talking between the two, the victim said that he pressured the minor to make a video call by showing his private parts.
The victim filed a complaint with the Cyber Bureau after the perpetrator threatened to tell all the relatives including the victim’s father and mother about the love relationship if she did not do as he said.
After giving the application Kanchanpur Dodhara Chandni Municipality Ward no. 18-year-old Vinod Sunar residing at 04 was arrested from Kanchanpur on May 30th with the help of District Police Office Kanchanpur after obtaining an arrest warrant from the Kathmandu District Court for an offense under the Electronic Transactions Act 2063, said Pashupati Kumar Rai, spokesperson of Viuro.
