Meanwhile, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has also given his response.

According to a report by The Verge, Zuckerberg has discussed Vision Pro with his staff. He says that it is seven times more expensive than Meta’s Quest.

Zuckerberg said, ‘This could be a good tool for the future of computing. But it is not a tool as expected.’

According to the Verge report, Zuckerberg said, “The difference between Apple and Meta’s headsets is that they use high-resolution displays. In addition, we can see that the batteries used by Apple consume a lot of energy, and the power system costs seven times more than our headsets. The Vision Pro’s higher Power consumption requires a wire and battery to be connected to it every time it is used. With this headset, we can also find many areas to improve on the Quest headset.”

Unlike Meta Quest and Meta Quest Pro, Apple’s Vision Pro uses eye movements and hand gestures for control. This eliminates the need for controllers.

Additionally, it has a transparent display and a lightweight design. The Vision Pro starts at $3,500, while the Meta Quest Pro, Meta’s most expensive headset, starts at $1,000. This is why Zuckerberg said that Apple’s products are more expensive than they should be.

Zuckerberg responded to Apple’s Vision Pro device pricing, saying that Meta’s upcoming Quest 3 headset will be priced at just $499, compared to the Vision Pro’s $3499, which will be much cheaper.

Due to Quest 3’s low price, a large number of users will be able to use this device. Notably, Apple’s announcement seems to add challenges for Meta in the AR VR market.
