Arm’s first V9 CPU can now be used on computers as well

Arm’s first V9 CPU is built not only for phones but also for computers. The company has introduced a new Cortex CPU that can power laptops, computers, smartphones and wearables.

Its name is Arm Cortex-X2 which can power laptops from premium smartphones. It gives 30 percent better performance to Android phones.

Arm has brought Cortex A Five 10 for wearables. It gives 35% better performance on the watch.

The chips will be 64-bit by 2023, the company said. The company says it will still take some time for Arm’s new technology to come into use.
