Asus has launched VivoBook Pro 14 powered by the latest Ryzen 5000 H-series processors in China. Let’s take a quick look at the specs and features of the new Asus VivoBook Pro 14 alongside its expected price in Nepal.
Asus VivoBook Pro 14 Overview:
Design and Display
The Asus VivoBook Pro 14 has a metal lid with CNC embossed logo. It’s a sleek notebook that is just 17.9mm thick and weighs around 1.35 kg. Thus, you will have no problem carrying it around in your backpack.
Coming to the display, it has a 14-inch 90Hz OLED panel with a 2.8K resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. This screen covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and is Pantone Validated. It has support for 10-bit color depth and thus is able to produce over 1 billion colors. Similarly, its peak brightness is listed at 600 nits.
Keyboard, Touchpad
The keyboard here is backlit with three levels of brightness to choose from. The keycaps have a concave curve of 0.15mm. Similarly, each key has a travel distance of 1.4mm. The backspace has an integrated fingerprint scanner that supports Windows Hello authentication. Moving on, its touchpad is also fairly large, scaling to 5.9-inches.
Performance and Memory
Asus VivoBook Pro 14 is powered by high-performance Ryzen 5000 H-series mobile processors. Users can choose between the hexa-core Ryzen 5 5600H and octa-core Ryzen 7 5800H. The former has a base clock speed of 3.3GHz and a turbo speed of 4.2GHz. Ryzen 7 5800H, on the other hand, has a base clock frequency of 3.2GHz and a turbo speed of 4.4GHz.
Asus has included two fans and two heat pipes to keep the core temperature down. Users can switch between three performance modes – High performance, Balanced mode, and Silent mode. You’ll have to do with the integrated graphics since this laptop doesn’t have a discrete GPU. VivoBook Pro 14 comes with 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM and 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSD.
The laptop is Wi-Fi 6 ready and features stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon. For I/O, you have two USB 2.0 Type-A, one USB 3.0 Type-A, an HDMI port, and a microSD card reader. The webcam comes with a physical shutter too. Similarly, there are discrete keys to disable the camera and microphone, respectively.
