Authority’s direction to Smart Telecom to transfer assets in progress
The Nepal Telecommunication Authority has instructed Smart Telecom to transfer the assets in the current state.
By issuing a notification, the authority has instructed to hand over the telecommunication infrastructure, telecommunication system and telecommunication network.
After Smart Telecom did not file billions of fees as per the rules for license renewal, the company’s license has been canceled automatically.
According to the sub-rule (1) of Rule 9 of the Telecommunication Service Provider’s Property Management Regulations, 2079, after the license of Smart Telecom has been revoked automatically, the telecommunication infrastructure structure, telecommunication system and telecommunication network have been instructed to be handed over to the authority.
