Lava’s Benco Series of phones are pretty popular in the offline market. Just some months ago, the brand released the Benco S1, a budget-friendly option. Now, it has added a Pro member, the Benco S1 Pro with significant upgrades. Let’s get into the specs, features, and expected price of the Benco S1 Pro in Nepal.
Benco S1 Pro Overview
Design and Display
Starting with the design, the Benco S1 Pro adapts a boxy frame factor with flat frames at 8.47mm. The back panel is an AG glass with an oleophobic coating, resistant to fingerprints. Lava flaunts this phone in three color options: Pearl White, Iceberg Blue, and Gemstone Black.
On the front side, you get a 6.8-inch hole-punch panel with FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2460). This LCD panel only supports a static 60Hz refresh rate though.
Performance
Under the hood, there is a Unisoc T616 chipset powering from the core. This is a slight upgrade from the Unisoc T606 used on the Benco S1. To compare, both are fabbed under a 12nm process and feature the same Cortex A75 and Cortex A55 cores. However, the T616 features slightly boosted clock speeds. And on the graphics side, there is a Mali-G57 MP1 GPU.
You get three variants here: 6/128GB, 8/128GB, and 8/256GB with a virtual RAM expansion feature. The storage is UFS 2.2, enabling faster read and write speeds. And the phone ships with Android 13 out of the box.
Camera
As for the optics, the Benco S1 Pro gets a triple camera setup. It is headlined by a 1.4µm 64MP primary camera with 2MP macro unit and an AI lens. Upfront, you get a 16MP front camera for snapping selfies and taking video calls.
Rest of the Specs
Fueling the smartphone is a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. For connectivity, the phone includes 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Furthermore, you also get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, which can unlock the screen in 0.1s as claimed by the brand.
