Italian data protection authorities banned it in early April due to privacy concerns. Italy also became the first Western country to ban the app.

However, the Microsoft-backed maker said it had successfully ‘addressed or clarified’ the issues raised by OpenAI.

Users will be able to know and maintain their privacy before registering on Chat GPT.

After the grantee accused OpenAI of failing to verify the age of 13 or older on ChatGPT, OpenAI said it would provide a tool to verify the age of users in Italy at signup.

But Open AI said it would also provide a new form for European Union users to exercise their right to object to the use of personal data to train its models.

Chat GPT was created by an American open AI start-up company. It is launched by Microsoft.

The regulatory body has said that it has imposed an immediate ban for investigation. Chat GPT answers various types of questions to humans with the help of artificial intelligence. It mimics human-like writing style.

Microsoft has spent billions of dollars on this. Last month Microsoft added it to its search engine.
