Communication Minister’s Complaint: The use of technology is increasing but why is the revenue decreasing?

Communication and Information Technology Minister Rekha Sharma has complained that revenue has decreased despite the increasing use of information technology.

Minister Sharma said this while speaking at the spectrum management conference organized by Nepal Telecommunication Authority on the occasion of International Telecommunication Day and Information Society Day on Wednesday.

Recently, the use of technology has increased in Nepal, but the revenue contributed by the telecommunication sector has decreased. In this situation, Minister Sharma also expressed concern about the decrease in revenue.

The use of technology is increasing. But the revenue is decreasing. There should be a broad discussion about this problem,’ she said, ‘special attention should be paid to solve it.’

Addressing the program, Sharma, who was also the chief guest, pledged that the government would pay attention to spectrum management. He also said that the ministry is always supportive to get the results according to the target.
