Hackathon to develop safety technologies for sanitation workers, 50 million plus prizes

A hackathon is going to be held to develop safety technology for sanitation workers under the auspices of the Water and Sewerage Department and the Asian Development Bank and jointly organized by the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST).

The hackathon to be held in NAST from April 27 to 29 will be conducted from 10 am to 5 pm. You can send your idea to solve the problem of cleaner safety and problem by next April 8th.

Ideas should be sent on the theme of drainage management, protective tools and materials for sanitation workers, solid waste management, toilet sanitation. Send ideas click here do it

After sending the idea, the pre-selection of the idea will take place. Then the best 10 ideas will be selected. Selected ideas will receive a $500 grant for prototype development.

A 3-day hackathon will be held after the prototype is developed. The winner of the hackathon will get a grant of up to 40 thousand dollars or 52 lakh rupees.

It is said that the best will be selected on the basis of innovative, feasible, scalable, cost effective, prototype, presentation and documentation. Hackathon will be managed by Robotics Association of Nepal.
