Design and Display
Kicking off with the design, the Honor Pad X9 tries to refresh the bland looks of the X8. The rear side is pretty much the same but it flaunts a new camera module this time. The tab weighs 495 grams with a metal body and bears a slim profile with just 6.9mm thickness. As for the color options, you only get one– Space Gray.
Getting to the front side, you are greeted with an 11.5-inch LCD panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 2K resolution. Apart from the bigger display size and resolution, the Pad X9 also brings a fast 120Hz refresh rate as compared to the static 60Hz one on the Pad X8.
Performance
Handling the performance on this tab is a Snapdragon 685 SoC. It’s an octa-core chipset built on a 6nm process with 4 cores Cortex-A73 at 2800 MHz and 4 cores Cortex-A53 at 1900 MHz. Talking of the memory and storage variant, only a 4/128GB trim is available with possibilities of other variants in the near future. In terms of software, the Honor Pad X9 boots on Magic UI 7.1 built on top of Android 13.

For optics, Honor hasn’t mentioned the camera resolution. It’s likely to be a 5MP combo on both the front and rear sides as per rumors. Unlike the Honor Pad X8, this tab comes with a 6-speaker setup delivering 360° audio. Likewise, it is fueled by a 7,250mAh battery. According. There is no cellular support hence, the tablet relies on WiFi and Bluetooth 5.1 for wireless connectivity.
