How to Recover Deleted Messages on Facebook Messenger?

Sometimes, for some reason, we may need to restore a deleted message. The important thing is that sometimes it can be deleted by mistake.

In this case, it is easier to retrieve the deleted message. Today we will discuss the same topic. The following procedure can be used to retrieve a deleted message in Facebook Messenger.

Check if the message has been archived

Archived messages are hidden from Messenger’s inbox, not deleted. Sometimes when we delete a message, the archive may be pressed instead of deleted. When you slide your finger in the chat, the options are archived and more, with the delete option. This is the reason why archives can be restored by mistake.

To check if it is archived in the iOS Messenger app, you first need to open the Messenger app on your iPhone or iPad. Then click on the profile picture and then click on the archived chat. If the chat is archived, it will be available here. If there is, slide your finger from right to left and select Unarchive to find the chat.

To check archived messages in Facebook browser

If you are using Facebook from a browser, open Facebook in a web browser, select Messenger from the top of the page, and then click on the All in Messenger option from the bottom of the Messenger list. After doing so, add three dots on the side of the chat

By downloading Facebook data

Another way is to download Facebook data. Facebook keeps the message on the server for some time and only deletes it later. For the same reason, messages can be retrieved by downloading Facebook data.

To download Facebook data in iOS Messenger app:

Sometimes data can be returned to send a copy of your data to Facebook. That data may include your message. To do this, first open the Messenger app and click on your image at the bottom of the screen. Then scroll down and select Account Settings.

After doing so, scroll again and go to the Facebook Information section and click on the Download Profile Information option. Then on the open screen you have to tick next to the message. It also happens when you search other genres. The genre report you checked is available there.

Now scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on the Create File option. Facebook will then create a report and contact you when it is created. Shows that it is pending. Messenger data is found faster than other data. You can get the required information by looking at that report.

To download data in Facebook browser:

Facebook data can also be downloaded to a computer. To do this, open Facebook in a web browser and select the Settings and Privacy option in the menu by clicking on the down arrow at the top left of the Facebook page. Then on the open screen, select Settings and select Privacy. Select your Facebook information from the privacy sidebar. Then select the Download Profile Information option and click View.

If the message has not been checked, it should be done. You need to remove the unwanted information from the check and select the Create File option. Facebook will provide information after the report is completed. The message can also be seen in the same report.
