In February, Instagram began testing a broadcast channel tool to help creators deepen their relationship with their followers.

The company has also released a broadcast channel messaging feature, where creators can invite all their followers to share text, video, and photo updates.

With this tool, creators can also use voice notes. Similarly, behind the scene clips can also be made public through broadcast channels. The Instagram broadcast channel also has a feature that can be used to create polls to crowdsource fan feedback.

Once a producer starts a broadcast channel and sends the first message from the Instagram inbox, followers will receive a request to join the channel.

In addition, anyone can search for Instagram broadcast channels and watch content, but followers who join the channel will also receive notifications when there are new updates.
