We’re quite a few months away before Apple announces the new iPhone 15 series. But that doesn’t mean we have to wait that long for any crumb of detail about those phones. And a new render of the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro has surfaced online, which points towards a curvier design, a thicker camera bump, and a USB-C port. Here’s everything we know about the iPhone 15 Pro including its rumors, renders, leaked specs, and more.
iPhone 15 Pro Rumors:
The iPhone 15 Pro, like the iPhone 14 Pro, will have a Dynamic Island. But its bezels will be thinner than on previous models. By the way, every phone in the iPhone 15 lineup will have a Dynamic Island. The 15 Pro’s display size and resolution, however, will be the same as the 14 Pro. Additionally, the CAD renders suggest a curvier frame that seamlessly meets the display as well.
3nm A17 Bionic chip
The phone will be powered by Apple’s next-gen A17 Bionic chip, which could most likely be based on 3nm architecture. And while the “Pro” models enjoy a newer processor, the vanilla iPhone 15 and 15 Plus might feature A16 Bionic instead. To recall, this is similar to what Apple did with the iPhone 14 series. Along with the new chip, iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are also expected to come with more RAM (possibly from 6GB to 8GB). We could see the same Qualcomm 5G modem that was used in the 14 Pro series here.
Getting to the cameras, iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will most likely house an identical sensor setup—with the exception of the telephoto camera. Both the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will have telephoto cameras, but the 15 Pro Max could have a periscope lens with 6x optical zoom. In comparison, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max feature a 3x optical zoom telephoto lens.
Likewise, the camera bump in the leaked render appears thicker than on the 15 Pro, indicating that it will have a larger camera sensor than the 14 Pro. Despite this, the camera housing and sensor arrangement appear the same as on the 14 Pro.
Moreover, Apple is also expected to switch from physical power and volume buttons to capacitive solid-state ones that provide haptic feedback instead. The silent switch will also be smaller and rounder. And after the European Union (EU) and India mandated USB-C ports on phones and other devices, USB-C will finally be available on the iPhone 15 lineup. But rumors suggest that Apple could limit some functionalities of USB-C connection on iPhones to Apple-made cables and accessories.
iPhone 15 Pro Price and Availability
As always, Apple is expected to announce its next iPhones in September later this year. There are no rumors about the price of the iPhone 15 Pro right now, but considering everything, it could see a slight price bump over the 14 Pro.
