iQOO is all set to launch the iQOO 8 series. The first hands-on image of these devices went live during the recent ChinaJoy convention. So, let’s get into the specs, features, launch, and rumors of the iQOO 8 and 8 Pro.
iQOO 8 Series Overview:
Design and Display
iQOO 8 series consists of two devices – the iQOO 8 and the 8 Pro. Both of them are said to feature Samsung’s E5 AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh and 2K+ resolution. Likewise, these phones will feature a curved edge screen and a centrally aligned punch-hole.
The smartphone’s rear design is obscured by a case, so there isn’t much to say about it. However, based on the image, it is safe to assume that the device has a rectangular camera module on the rear.
Snapdragon 888+
Under the hood, the handset is tipped to come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ processor. The major difference between the standard Snapdragon 888 and the Plus variant is that the clock speed of Cortex-X1 running in the latter operates at 2.995GHz, while the same CPU core in the Snapdragon 888 runs at 2.84GHz.
In terms of memory, the iQOO 8 series is tipped to pack 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Besides that, it will have 4GB of virtual/extended RAM.
Furthermore, these smartphones boot on Android 11-based OriginOS 1.0. Fueling the handsets is a 4000mAh battery that is expected to support either 160W or 120W charging.
