It is necessary to emphasize on infrastructure to develop digital capacity: Prime Minister Prachanda

8 June, Kathmandu. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has said that the government should emphasize on the necessary infrastructure to develop digital capabilities.

Prime Minister Prachanda said this while speaking at the opening ceremony of Huawei MNC Digital Nepal Conclave 2023.

He said, ‘The government has emphasized on the necessary infrastructure for digital Nepal. The government intends to reduce digital devices and emphasize digital economy.’

Stating that it is important to develop digital capacity, he also informed that recently skilled manpower is being produced in Nepal as well.

He said that the government has arranged that 1 percent of the total capital budget will be spent on research and development through the budget of the next financial year for the promotion of research, inventions, startups and entrepreneurship.

He said, ‘For the promotion of research, invention, startup and entrepreneurship, we have already made arrangements to spend 1 percent of the total capital budget on research and development through the budget of the next financial year. ‘

He said that the government will implement the Information Technology Act, Cyber ​​Policy Act, E-Commerce Policy and other laws soon.

He said, ‘Government Information Technology Act, Cyber ​​Policy Act, e-commerce policy and other laws will be passed and implemented quickly.’

For this, he said that the Digital Nepal Framework will be revised and made up-to-date.
