Kayumov, the new CEO of Ncell, will take charge, focusing on Nepal’s digital development

Jabbor Kayumov has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Ncell Asiata Limited.

The meeting held on Tuesday (May 26) of Ncell’s board of directors appointed Jabbor as the chief executive officer and managing director. He has assumed his duties from today (May 27).

Along with this, Ncell’s former Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Andy Chong will take charge as ‘Aziata Group Chief Corporate Officer’ at the Aziata Group Head Office from June 1, 2023.

Jabbour has previously served as CEO of several companies under top telecommunication organizations such as Telia (formerly TeliaSonera) and Vimpelcom (now VION). He has about 20 years of experience working in the top management of the telecommunication industry.

Jabbor is known as a skilled professional leader with an excellent track record in many companies in the telecommunication sector. Prior to joining Ncell, he served as CEO of Digicel Trinidad and Tobago and was CEO of Digicel Jamaica until April 2023.

While working in Caribbean countries, he led the transformation of business operations to become a digital service provider.

With extensive knowledge of the telecom industry, Jabbour has a successful track record as a chief executive. He is known for his exemplary work in the areas of People Leadership, Business Improvement, Digital Strategy, Organizational Design and Processes. He has a master’s degree in economics from Khuzand State University, Tajikistan.

Jabbor is interested in new technology and customer-centric new services. He believes that a supportive environment will be essential for achieving digital innovation, high customer satisfaction and commercial success.
