Motorola Razr 2023 Rumors, Leaks, Specifications, Availability

Motorola Razr 2023 Rumor

Motorola is no new name in the foldable phone market. And now, Evan Blass and The Tech Outlook have published renders of the upcoming Motorola Razr 2023. Based on those renders, we can see that this clamshell foldable will have a much larger cover display and even thinner bezels than its predecessor. And in this article, we’ll be going through all the leaked details, specs, and other info about the Motorola Razr 2023.

Motorola Razr 2023 Rumor:

Design and Display

According to leaks, the upcoming Razr 2023 has the codename “Juno”. Like all the other clamshell foldables, the back of this phone is also divided into two portions. The lower half is made of matte velvet AG (anti-glare) glass and bears both the Motorola and Razr logos. Whereas the upper portion, like last year’s Razr 2022, could be protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

The biggest highlight of the Razr 2023, however, is definitely its larger cover display. Its outer display looks significantly bigger than the one on the Razr 2022, which has a 2.7″ AMOLED screen. Oppo’s new Find N2 Flip currently holds the top spot for the biggest cover display on a clamshell foldable that measures 3.26″. And it looks like Motorola is ready to pull ahead of Oppo.

Moving on, the Razr 2023’s main display may be similar in size to the Razr 2022—a 6.7″ 144Hz OLED panel—but with much slimmer bezels and an even more subtle crease.

Performance

Under the hood, Razr 2023 might come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip instead of the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Likewise, the phone is rumored to boot on Android 12-based MyUX out-of-the-box which is a bit disappointing.

Cameras

Moving on to the cameras, the Motorola Razr 2023 won’t bring a camera island like its predecessor. Instead, it will take a page out of Samsung’s Galaxy S23 series for horizontal camera placement.

The dual-camera setup at the back will consist of a 64MP primary and a 13MP secondary camera (most likely an ultrawide sensor). Inside, the phone could borrow the same 32MP selfie shooter as the Razr 2022.

Battery

As per the rumors, Motorola Razr 2023 may feature a 4000mAh battery which would be a modest upgrade over Razr 2022’s 3500mAh cell. We also expect to see fast charging support on board, although it’s unclear if Motorola will bring wireless charging here.

Motorola Razr 2023 Pricing and Availability:

Currently, there is no info about the pricing of the Razr 2023. But another leak by Evan Blass suggests Motorola could announce its latest foldable on June 1, 2023.
