National ID number is now required to open bank account, get driving license and PAN

The government has announced stricter arrangements for obtaining national identity cards.
President Ramchandra Poudel made this announcement while presenting the government’s policy and program for the coming financial year 2080/81 at the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament on Friday.
In the policy and program, it has been arranged that a national identity card number is required for opening a bank account, getting a vehicle license, issuing spare parts and getting a permanent account number. This work is stated in the policy and program to be implemented within the next three years.
