Ncell’s first quarter financial statements: Total revenue of Rs 10 billion, data from Rs 2.5 billion

Leading private sector mobile service provider Ncell has earned Rs 10 billion in the first quarter of this year.

According to the first quarterly financial statement of 2021 released by Axiata, Ncell’s main investor, it has earned Rs 10.53 billion in three months.

This is a decrease of Rs. 1.57 billion compared to the same period last year. 12.03 billion in the first quarter of last year.

Ncell has earned Rs 2.52 billion from data during the period. In the corresponding period of the previous year, its data consumption income was Rs. 2.64 billion.

Despite the decline in Ncell’s revenue compared to the first quarter of last year, it has improved compared to the last three quarters.

Ncell had earned Rs 9.54 billion in the second quarter of last year and Rs 30 million in the next two quarters.

Accordingly, the first quarter of this year has seen a modest improvement.

The number of Ncell data customers has also increased. During this period, 50 percent of Ncell’s total customers are consuming data. In the same period last year, data was used by 45.2 percent. Ncell had 16.3 million subscribers in the first quarter.
