One person was arrested on the charge of cheating by teaching him how to use digital wallet

A young man has been arrested on the charge of cheating by claiming to teach him how to use wallets such as Eseva, Kalti etc. Among those arrested is another Sivakoti, 22 years old, resident of Dolakha.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Sivakoti was arrested on the charge of fraud by telling the victim that he would teach him how to do business and money transfer through e-services and pocket wallets.

In addition to this, he kept the photos of different people, opened e-services and pocket wallets, made various pretexts to the victim, took the victim’s mobile phone, gained access to the bank account and mobile banking and transferred money from the victim’s account to other bank accounts and wallets.

Sivakoti has been arrested and sent to District Police Complex Teku, Kathmandu for necessary investigation and action on fraud-related offences.
