Partnership of Daraj and Nepal Olympic Committee to promote Tokyo Summer Olympics
The online shopping market drawer has entered into an agreement with the Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) to promote the ‘Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics’ and the athletes representing Nepal in the Olympics.
On Wednesday, NOC Chairman Jeevan Ram Shrestha and Daraj’s Managing Director Lino O’Leary signed the agreement at a special ceremony of Olympic Day 2021 organized by Support for All Commission at NOC’s office in Satdobato.
The partnership is believed to strengthen cooperation between Daraj and NOC as the Tokyo Olympics approach.
Chairman of the Nepal Olympic Committee Jeevan Ram Shrestha said that he was happy to work with Daraj for the promotion of athletes representing Nepal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
He also hoped that Nepali players from the 207 participating countries would perform with the goal of fulfilling their dreams with their hard work and passion. He said that Daraj also believed that he would play an important role in the promotion of the Olympic Games.
Shrestha said that Nepali spectators will also be able to watch the Olympics from July 23 to August 8, be informed about it and participate through various social media and other means.
Lino Allaring, managing director of Daraj, said that even though Covid-19 is affecting everyone’s life at this difficult time, it has tried to give some happiness. He also said that he was proud to be part of this partnership for the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics start on July 23. More than 12,000 players will compete in this festival with the participation of more than 200 countries.
