Prime Minister’s directive to make legal arrangements for registration of vehicles made in Nepal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has instructed the Chief Secretary Shankardas Bairagi to make necessary legal arrangements for the registration process of vehicles made in Nepal.

On Sunday morning, Prime Minister Prachanda instructed the Chief Secretary Shankardas Bairagi to quickly advance the draft law and to bring an incentive policy.

“Since there have been complaints that vehicles made in Nepal are not registered, he has instructed to prepare a law on registration to address the citizens’ complaints and to enact a policy to encourage Nepali production,” said Prime Minister Prachanda’s press coordinator Surya Kiran Sharma.

The news of vehicles manufactured in Nepal including ‘Yatri’ being registered and unable to work were published. Sharma also said that after the instructions of the Prime Minister, the Chief Secretary Bairagi instructed the Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, Madhu Marasini, to immediately prepare and submit a draft law related to the registration and promotion of vehicles produced in Nepal.
