Problems in 8 systems operated by the Comptroller General’s Office, affecting thousands of customers

There has been a problem in the system operated by the Comptroller General’s Office. Thousands of customers are affected when there is a problem in the system.

There have been problems in the revenue management information system of the General Accounting Office, the local accumulated fund management system, the revenue payment portal, the financial management information system, the single account fund system, the computerized government accounting system and the public property management system.

Gayatri Raman Khanal, Information Officer of the General Accounts Control Office, said that the problem occurred when many people tried to use the system at once.

“There is a problem in all the systems operated by the General Accounting Office. Now, about 95 percent of the problem has been solved,” he told ICT news. “It is expected that the system will be operational soon. The IT team is trying to solve the problem.’

Even when there is a problem in the revenue system, many people have not been able to pay. The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office issued a notification and informed that there was a problem in paying traffic fines when the server of revenue management system was down.
