Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to introduce a 4G version of the Redmi Note 12 in the global market very soon. The smartphone has appeared on multiple listings, including the IMEI database and the FCC. And these listings may hold some clues about its specs and features. So let’s take a closer look at what we know so far.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 4G Rumors:
Except for IMEI and FCC, the handset has also appeared on NBTC, TDRA, and IMDA certification. While the NBTC and TRDA listings confirm the moniker as Redmi Note 12, the FCC listing details the model number as 23021RAAEG. Here, ‘G’ means global.
Redmi Note 12 4G Listings
These certifications don’t reveal much in terms of specifications. But past rumors of the Redmi Note 12 4G suggests that it could be a rebadged version of the two-year-old Redmi Note 10 Pro.
What can you expect?
Given the rumors are true, the Note 12 4G could have a 6.67″ FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Similarly, you can expect Corning Gorilla Glass protection, as seen on the Note 10 Pro, as well as a peak brightness of 1200 nits.
Design-wise, Xiaomi is more likely to make it resemble its 5G counterpart. That is, back panel with curved edges and a rectangular camera module housing three camera sensors.
The phone could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Most likely, the phone will run on Android 12 out of the box and MIUI 14 on top, as hinted in the FCC listing.
Moreover, the Note 12 4G might feature a 64MP quad-camera setup. Fueling the smartphone will be a 5000mAh battery that will support 33W fast charging.
