Telecom’s VoLTE users reached 563,000

Voice over LTE (VoLTE) users have reached 563,062. According to the data made public by Nepal Telecom till September 5, the number of VoLTE users has reached 563,062.

Telecom had started testing VOLTE for the first time in Nepal on May 15. Two things are required to run VoLTE.

To use VoLTE service, you need to activate VoLTE service on the SIM and also have VoLTE support on mobile phones.

VOLTE service can be activated on SIM by dialing * 444 #. If VOLTE is not activated in the SIM, the SIM itself should be changed.

You have to enable VoLTE by going inside the mobile network of mobile settings. Once VOLTE is enabled on the mobile, VOLTE shows 3G / 4G at the top of the screen and then this service can be used.

Telecom has also given 100 minutes free call on the occasion of commencement of VoLTE test. Which can be activated by dialing * 111 #.
