The pension of retired civil servants will now be credited directly to the individual’s account

A system has been implemented from today to deposit the monthly pension amount of retired national service employees in the account of the concerned person through the transfer of electronic fund.

Madhu Marasini, Comptroller and Auditor General of the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General, said that a system has been introduced to deposit the monthly pension of retired public servants directly through electronic means.

According to him, about 276,000 retired employees have expressed confidence that they will get benefits and help in digital governance immediately.

Marasini also said that this will help the retirees to get fast and effective service and implement the Digital Nepal Framework.

The Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General is confident that the effectiveness of the government’s cash flow management will also increase as the large amount of money spent by the government on pension management will be paid to the account of the person receiving the pension from the government treasury.
