The process of appointing a Vice-Chancellor in the Nepal Institute of Science and Technology Pragya (NAST), which has been vacant for a long time, has progressed.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has opened the application for the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor in accordance with sub-section (1a) of section 19 of the Nepal Science and Technology Expertise-Establishment Act, 2048.

In the Nepal Science and Technology Proficiency-Establishment Act, the Vice-Chancellor is required to be recommended from among those who have made outstanding contributions in the field of science and technology.

For the post of Vice-Chancellor, apply to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in writing by June 10 (within seven days) including your contribution to the field of science and technology, your work plan for the development and prosperity of the field of science and technology, and personal details (bio data). The day has been called.

Last December, Dr. Sunil Babu Shrestha retired as Vice Chancellor of NAST after completing his 4-year tenure as Vice Chancellor. After that, Nast Vice-Chancellor is absent.

For a long time, the institution that has to research science and technology has not appointed a vice-chancellor, and the daily work is being affected.
