Vivo is reportedly working on the successor of the X Fold, the X Fold 2. Recently, specs of this upcoming foldable from Vivo have leaked online by tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd). So let’s look at the Vivo X Fold 2 rumors, along with the anticipated cost and availability in Nepal.

Design and Display

If the rumors are to be believed, this upcoming Vivo foldable will be just 13mm thick and will weigh around 280g. However, there are no hints of ingress protection this time as well. Vivo X Fold 2 will be available in three color options: Black, Blue, and Red.

Up front, there will be an 8.03″ E6 AMOLED main display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1800 nits of peak brightness. For the cover display, there will be a 6.53″ E6 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1600 nits of peak brightness. The main display will have a resolution of 2160×1916 pixels whereas the cover display will boast a resolution of 2520×1080 pixels.

Performance

The X Fold 2 will be powered by the latest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which is based on 4nm fabrication technology. This flagship SoC contains an octa-core CPU with one Cortex-X3 (@3.2 GHz), two Cortex-A715 (@2.8 GHz), two Cortex-A710 (@2.8 GHz), and three Cortex-A510 (@2.0 GHz). For graphics, there will be an integrated Adreno 740 GPU.

The chipset will be further paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 onboard storage. However, the RAM and storage capacity has not been leaked yet but up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is expected. Vivo will ship this phone pre-installed with Android 13 with Origin OS Ocean on top.

Cameras

Talking about the cameras, X Fold 2 will feature a quad-camera setup on the back led by a 50MP f/1.8 main sensor. An 8MP periscope lens with 5x optical zoom, 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 48MP ultrawide lens will join the rear camera module. According to the rumors, Vivo will collaborate with ZEISS for cameras.

There will be a 16MP camera on both the main display and the cover display for selfies. Rear cameras will be capable of capturing up to 8K @ 30fps videos whereas front cameras will be capable of capturing 1080p @ 30fps videos.

This upcoming foldable from Vivo will be fueled by a 4800mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. In terms of wireless connectivity, there will be tri-band Wi-Fi 7 as well as Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC. For biometrics, there will be an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner on both displays. Talking about the audio, there will be a stereo-speakers setup.
