Vivo has recently gone on a launch spree in Nepal. The company recently launched the Y22 and Y35, and now there’s a new Y-series smartphone called the Vivo Y16. So, let’s look at the specifications, features, availability, and official price of the Vivo Y16 in Nepal.

Vivo Y16 Overview:

Design, Display

Like most Vivo phones, the Y16  places a premium on design. It has 2.5D curved edges and a back panel with a textured pattern that Vivo claims is anti-fingerprint and anti-scratch. It is available in two colors: Drizzling Gold and Stellar Black.

Talking about the display, you’re looking at a 6.51-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution. Sadly, you don’t get support for any higher refresh or touch sampling rate here.

Performance

Inside, Vivo has used MediaTek Helio P35 SoC for the performance. It’s a 12nm processor with eight Cortex-A53 cores, half of which run at 2.3GHz and the other half at 1.6GHz. Up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage are available as memory options. In Nepal, however, only the 4/64GB variant of the smartphone is available.

On the software front, it runs Funtouch OS 12, which is based on Android 12. Similarly, the smartphone is powered by a 5000mAh battery that charges via a Type-C port at a rate of 10W.

The Vivo Y16 has a dual-camera setup on the back headlined with a 13MP primary sensor. This is accompanied by a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, the Vivo Y16 has a 5MP camera. Similarly, the biometrics option includes a fingerprint scanner on the side.
