Volkswagen is also going to build a battery plant for electric vehicles in Canada. This will be Volkswagen’s first EV battery plant in North America.
Volkswagen’s plant in St. Thomas, Ontario will focus more on creating a unified cell. It is expected that this will help more in EV production. According to Volkswagen, it will be easy to get raw materials and local resources from there.
Volkswagen aims to start production from 2027. Volkswagen aims to make 200,000 electric vehicles from this plant.
