When will the phonepay IPO come?

PhonePay Payment Services Limited is going to issue an initial public offering (IPO). Divas Sapkota, CEO of PhonePe, said that they have started preparations for the IPO.

Phonepay is a public limited company. We are preparing for the IPO,” Sapkota said to ICT News, “The work of the foundation has started. It has not yet been decided exactly when the IPO will come.’

PhonePay is a leading fintech company in Nepal. More than 11 lakh businessmen (QR merchants) are currently affiliated with PhonePay. Currently, through PhonePe network, daily about Rs. 5 billion turnover has been going on. More than 60 banks and financial institutions are affiliated to PhonePay.

Phonepay has been serving more than 17 million mobile banking users and payment system service providers through mobile apps. The service of PhonePe has reached all wards of all local levels in all seven provinces.

PhonePe QR, which has been extended to villages, has started appearing in most of the shops in the city. Customers also find it convenient to pay through PhonePay instead of carrying cash.

This change in digital business has started bringing a big change in the digital economy of Nepal besides facilitating merchants and customers.
