Xiaomi 13 Ultra Rumors: Specifications, Launch, Availability

Xiaomi 13 Ultra Rumors

Xiaomi recently launched the Xiaomi 13 series globally. The lineup includes 13 Lite, 13, and 13 Pro, with the latter two being the flagship offering. Xiaomi might now add another “Ultra” model to the lineup which, as expected, will bring top-tier specifications. The device has been subject to numerous rumors to date. So, let’s get into leaks and rumors surrounding the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra Rumors:

Leica Branded Quad Camera

Xiaomi 12S Ultra was the company’s first smartphone to bring Leica cameras and a 1″ main sensor. While it was exclusive to China, Xiaomi 13 Pro introduced these features to the global market. So it’s likely that the 13 Ultra will also bring Leica tuning on its cameras.

It will be headlined by the same 1″ sensor as the 13 Pro but with a variable aperture and gimbal stabilization, while the speculations are pointing toward the Sony IMX858 sensor for the other three units—ultrawide, 3X portrait telephoto, and a periscope shooter. The latter is rumored to have up to 120x digital zoom.

Performance

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

As for the performance, the 13 Ultra will obviously pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. Perhaps 8+ Gen 2, if Qualcomm launches one. Likewise, you can expect Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box. Moreover, the 13 Ultra recently appeared on China’s 3C certification with an adapter that allows 90W charging.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra Launch and Availability

Rumors are stating that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra might launch on May 2023. While an announcement might occur a month prior, probably on the occasion of Xiaomi’s annual festival on April 6.
