Vivo is set to launch Vivo Y22s tomorrow in Nepal. The phone is almost identical to the Vivo Y22 that was launched last week in the country along with the Vivo Y35.

The only notable difference between the Y22 and the Y22s is the chipset. The Y22s comes with a Snapdragon 680 chipset.

The Alive Y22s has an identical design to the Vivo Y22s with its big rear camera module, and plastic build. The Starlit Blue colour variant also has the same finish on the back. The Summer Cyan colour has a different design pattern, that has a paintbrush-like pattern.

The device is rated for IP54 for protection against water and dust. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded in a power button, which is beneath the volume buttons.

The phone has a 6.55-inch IPS LCD HD+ display. The panel has a maximum brightness of 530nits under high brightness mode (HBM).

Hardware

The Vivo Y22s is another smartphone in 2022 to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset. Built on an efficient 6nm fabrication process, Snapdragon 680 has an octa-core CPU, consisting of four 2.4 GHz Kryo 265 Gold and four 1.9 GHz Kryo 265 Silver, and an Adreno 610 GPU.

The device comes with up to 128GB storage and 8GB RAM. It has a dedicated slot for a microSD card that lets you expand the storage.

Camera

The device has two rear cameras consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 2MP macro camera.

Battery and OS

The phone is powered by a 5000mAh battery. The phone supports 18W fast charging. Vivo claims that it charges up to 70% in 70 minutes.

Furthermore, the phone comes with Android 12 topped with Funtouch OS 12.

The Vivo Y22s price in Nepal is expected to be around Rs. 22,000. Starting tomorrow, the smartphone will be available at mobile retail stores all around Nepal.

The Vivo Y22s is identical to the Vivo Y22 except for the chipset and a new colour variant. Y22s may have slightly better CPU and battery performance, but the same cannot be said about the GPU.
