5 arrested for betting on Euro Cup online
Police on Thursday arrested five people from different places in Lalitpur on charges of betting on the ongoing Euro Cup Football Tournament 2020.
Among the arrested are Dipjal Dhungana, 32, of Thasikhel, Lalitpur, Ashish Singh, 26, of Sanepa, Raju Maharjan, 42, of Kovahal, Binod Maharjan, 38, of Dhapagal and Soha. Safir Raj Rajkarnikar, 29, of Tangal.
Police have arrested them with mobiles that have been deployed on the basis of special networks using the social network of Euro Cup games.
According to the Lalitpur Metropolitan Police, the Lalitpur District Court has extended the time limit by seven days to investigate the case.
